One thing we started doing which has been able to get us another meal out of our meat is cutting in half. So For hamburger helper instead of using ½ lb or 500g we just half of that. You honestly don’t even notice a difference and for extra filler we always make white rice with it and serve the hamburger helper on top of the rice.  When we make tacos I will only use a quarter since my daughter doesn’t eat meat and I usually make re fried beans with it. I will then use the other quarter to add to pasta sauce for when I make pasta.

For Chicken I always buy bone in skinned chicken at No-Frills I usually pay about $3.98 for 4 pieces and I then cut the legs off and De-skin them myself so I get 8 pieces of chicken.   By De-skinning it myself this will take me less than a minute I usually save a dollar or two. When I buy the boneless skinless Chicken Breasts they usually have 5 pieces of chicken inside. I will then cut them into cubes and bag it in four different bags. I use this to make stir fry, Indian chicken, boneless chicken and sometimes fajita’s. This way I can get four meals out of one package of 5 boneless chicken.
